Directions for applying them

When it comes to applying psychology two fields come to mind: psychiatry and criminal psychology.

The main factors that cause mental illness are family and society—passive. Conversely, criminal psychology is mainly determined by self-aware decisions—active. This opinion will undoubtedly spur opposition from most psychologists. Explanation:

Psychiatry: Traditional medicine attributes the factors that cause severe mental illnesses to the brain (material). The author believes that they are passive, that is, not problems related to cerebral nerves! The following references data from Phenomenology and Lacan on Schizophrenia after the Decade of the Brain (parental mental illness).

The research of Alphonso De from Finland: Of 74 children who were fostered in healthy families, not a single one had an illness. Of 38 children from families with neural disorders, 4 children became ill. Of 47 children from families with serious psychological disorders, 9 became ill.

The research of Tienari from Denmark: when people with mental illness raise children, the probability that their children will have a mental illness is 10.3%. For children who separate themselves from the mentally ill parents, the rate of illness is 1%. Exposure to mental illness is 10 times more effective than hereditary factors in triggering mental illness.

If we look at another set of statistics, the answer is even more obvious. For normal women who are raped, the probability of it causing a permanent mental illness is 23% (including bipolar affective disorder, schizophrenia and split personality disorder). The data also reveals the incorrectness of the susceptibility theory.

From these three sets of data, it can be seen that mental illness is not hereditary and caused by problems in the cerebral nerves. Rather, it is caused by damage from the objective environment (mentality, actions, bad experiences).

Note: neuroscience should be divided into neurology (hardware) and psychology (software). Can consciousness change brain neurons? The answer is: for sure. This is like asking: can computer software change the physical data on a hard drive?

Criminal psychology: Most people think that people who are uneducated, poor, and lack family care are more likely to commit crimes (this is mainly evidenced in the United States). Broadly speaking, this viewpoint is wrong in terms of how criminal nature is globally defined. For example: In certain fascist systems and modern day Turkey, The Republic of Turkey are trying to use the law to protect criminals who rape young girls. The government is criminal, then even criminals will have any concept of the law. How absurd is it to legalize crime? Poverty, desire etc. All of these can become the grounds for a crime. The key lies in our own choices. Can self-awareness overcome original sin and personal sin?

The source that triggers mental illness comes from external factors. Then the symptoms of the illness are mostly manifested objectively. If triggering criminal behavior is active, then the characteristics of criminals are mainly manifested in themselves and since zodiac sign is the root of differences in people's thought processes, then it is easy to use zodiac signs to analyze criminals. Furthermore, psychiatry, aside from analyzing the cause of illness, also seeks to cure the illness, but curing the illness is extremely difficult because it requires changing a person's consciousness. I admire the work of the Woebot group. This ideal is many times harder to achieve than for the main character in the movie Bicentennial Man. AI uses dialogue to edit people's thought pattern "codes". First, the AI himself must possess this thought pattern and editing is even more difficult. To use AI to build a psychological formula for criminal psychology is much easier. All it needs is analysis; it does not require editing and can also avoid the difficulty of designing a thought pattern. Below I will outline my thoughts on using AI to understand criminal psychology.



Criminal psychology and AI

The mode of thinking, personality, and behavior of different zodiac signs all have individual characteristics. Then a murderer's criminal motives, tools for committing the crime, choice of victim, means of committing the crime, wounds inflicted on the victim etc. will have different characteristics based on his zodiac sign. Based on these, we can deduce a series of clues. Their significance is in the following few points:

1.Based on the crime scene, the criminal's birthday can be roughly determined. For example, in a village, there are 47 suspects who need to be investigated by the police. This takes a lot of work and the police departments does not have enough people. Investigating all these people will cause a time delay allowing the criminal to escape or making it so that they will not be able to rescue the second victim in time. If they understood the criminal characteristics of zodiac signs, then they could rank suspects according to their birthdays based on the crime scenes and calculate the person most likely to have committed the crime, investigating them in that order.

2. By knowing a criminal's birthday, they would be able to immediately understand his mode of thinking and personality traits. A person's mode of thinking and personality traits will be affected by society, but this effect will be built on the foundation of his zodiac sign, whether he becomes a good person or a bad person. I have already discussed this point above. This phenomenon is very useful for interrogating and negotiating with suspects.

3.If applied to national security units and an AI computer analysis center was established, it could be used to record the personalities and life experiences of employees and anticipate potential problems. Different zodiac signs experience different situations. The amount of mental stress they can bare is vastly different. Assuming the thought patterns of different zodiac signs are Set {A}, {B}, and {C} and the experienced objective events are {a}, {b}, and {c}, the probability that {A} will commit a crime will increase dramatically after experiencing {a}. This phenomenon can be seen in the case of Virgo: The importance of analysis is evident from the case of田明建and 杨佳(the case is mentioned below) and it is not that AI can make accurate predictions, but rather that they can cut down on the amount of work and time. It is impossible for human labor to analyze millions of numbers, and furthermore, the relevant employees do not understand criminal psychology. They do not understand that hydraulic personalities (Virgo) are different from normal people or how big of a reaction they will have in their minds when they experience something. The significance of AI is analyzing millions of numbers instantaneously, issuing warnings immediately, reminding us that we need to review things closely, and making recommendations. For example, 田建民needs psychological counseling and to be transferred to a civilian position. 杨佳is not suited for heavy interrogation.

Note: All the Chinese words preserved in this text are the names of people. Since there are no equivalencies in translation, they are left untranslated.

There are two points of significance in constructing this system. 1. to improve the efficiency of solving cases, and to cut down on police expenses, and 2. to solve the problem of police lacking knowledge of criminal psychology.

Case Analysis

The following is an analysis of 20 cases. The sources come from Baidu Encyclopedia. The data are a bit sparse and are not sufficient to illustrate problems. The purpose of this article is only to introduce methods for constructing and analyzing data.

Statistical areas: 1. China, 2. individual criminals, 3. vicious criminals. Because of the scope of the statistics, the data only applies to three spheres. Outside of these spheres, the results are inaccurate. For example, there is a difference between the United States and China in terms of gun control and so a criminal's choice of instrument will be different. There is also a cultural difference between China and the United States, which will also lead to differences in data. If zodiac sign is the independent variable, social effects as variables will be different, so there will be differences in the values of the function.

Note: I did not deliberately cite cases to prove my arguments. For example: 张君 and 张子强's cases were not included in this data because their gangs were too large, especially for 张子强's case, which obviously had characteristics of the mafia. Organized crimes are complicated. It is likely that he was only a small pawn. Using gang crimes to analyze the characteristics of human psychology will make the analysis inaccurate.

There were too much information on the cases, so this article does not cite the information. Specific sources are available on Baidu Encyclopedia. I used visual methods (Figure below) and recorded the main criminal factors. This makes it easy to analyze and better compare the differences between different crimes and discover their defining characteristics. Gray lines: sets of criminal elements. The above data was analyzed and refined to obtain the following results.

A description of my statistical methodology:

Percentage values: everything has two aspects. From the perspective of being spirit and reality, some crimes are very realistic: for concrete advantage, money, power, sex. Some crimes are spirit: self-respect, jealousy, warped thought patterns etc. I used percentages to describe this trend: if being spirit constituted 80%, then being reality constituted 20%. It was also possible that each constituted 50%. If every zodiac sign showed a value close to a certain percentage point, this means that its traits were not manifested and I did not analyze it.

Note: Why is the desire for control placed under real? 1. The desire for control is a typical characteristic of animals, such as primates, beasts, and insects. There is a concept of "king." For example, the female snake refuses to mate, and the male snake swallows her whole after killing her with his bite. 2. Power is a direct "command" for acquiring wealth and mating in the course of interactions between human beings. Also, the first structural map should have a percentage, but this has been omitted due to file size limitations.

How do you calculate the percentage? It is easy to calculate the crime rate. Other factors like the motive for 马加爵's crime, Is plunder or revenge? and how much each contributes, are more difficult to determine. There are too many factors in a crime to determine how much each one comes into play. Based on the current level of development of psychology, it is impossible to use formulas to calculate these things; we can only use the human brain to "calculate." A brain that understands criminal psychology and logical analysis can come up with a rough estimate based on intuition. From a scientific perspective, judgments based on intuition can lead to major mistakes. Using realistic painting as an analogy, painters paint based on intuition (their brain's assessment). Who knows how far this deviates from objectivity and whether or not this deviation results in wrong definitions?

There are three types of colored lines:

Trend: Every zodiac sign has overall tendencies that characterize it. In the figure above, this is represented by single-colored lines with points.

Prominence: Sometimes the overall trend is very prominent while the trends in other zodiac signs are difficult to perceive. I guessed a particular zodiac sign from among the twelve and, because of this phenomenon, was able to guess with 100% accuracy. In the figure above, this is represented by lines that gradually change to gray with arrowheads.

Unusual signs: When a zodiac sign's birth date is close to that of another, its criminal trends will transcend its own trends. In the figure above, this is represented by lines that change to black with diamond-shaped points.

An explanation of specific crime factors

Crime rate: the crime rate for earth signs is three times greater than other elements. The crime rate for Aquarius and Scorpio is 2–4 times greater than that of the same elements. This great disparity is because of the limitations of the statistical spheres! If we changed to other crime categories and national cultures, the statistics would inevitably change significantly. Thus, the results of the data are not sufficient to indicate that earth signs and Scorpios are susceptible to becoming evil; they can only indicate that their personalities are more aggressive. Aggression is not related to good and evil. Above we already indicated that people with strong aggression have the capability of being demons or heroes and violence is only one type of crime. This article does not report statistics about other types of crimes.

Earth signs:

Trends {crime presentations}: bloody crime scene, excessive crime, Make smooth reading.

Bloody crime scene: this refers to the fact that the crime scene is messy with evidence of struggle. There is blood everywhere. {The instrument used to commit the crime} is generally a simple murder weapon: a knife or a hammer. Why is it that the probability for earth signs using guns in less than for other zodiac signs?

Because the personality of earth signs is steady and patient (as described previously), this means that when faced with desires or constantly pressured with conflicts, repression will lead to everything exploding all at once and uncontrollable emotions. They will need to immediately commit a crime and this means that they will not have time to look for guns (unlike the United States, in China it is extremely difficult to obtain a gun). In their state of mind, they will need to immediately obtain a murder weapon and will only be able to choose a knife or hammer. Also because of their emotions, there will not be much of a sense of planning (when a person reaches emotional extremes, they will lose their ability to think clearly). They will not have time to think about by what means they can easily reach their goal. The result is that they will not be able to easily kill the victim and the crime scene will have obvious traces of resistance, making it chaotic with blood everywhere.

Note: 田明建used guns because his own guns were legal. The most classic case is that of 杨佳. Other zodiac signs whose targets are civilians would all use guns, but he went to the police department and used a knife to commit the crime.

Excessive crime: 1. The victim's wounds will be sufficient to kill him but his body will have endured excessive damages (emotional damage, without aiming to destroy the body). He will be cut up and bloody, the victim's body will be battered. On the one hand, this will make the victim suffer excessively when he dies; on the other hand the criminal himself will be "bathed in blood" and damage the body excessively. 2. In the same place, within a certain period of time, there will be several victims. After killing a specific target, he will develop a lust for blood and further murder people who are related to this but areof insignificance to the murderer.

Quickly executed: this means that he will attack multiple targets within a certain period of time without taking breaks in the middle. There will not be roundabout or circling around. At the same time because of the personality of earth signs, their steadiness and patience causes internal feelings to build up for too long and when they explode they all pour out.

The three crime elements above are all because of the {criminal motive} of satisfying bloodlust (bloodthirsty). Satisfying bloodlust (bloodthirsty) refers to the process of committing the crime. The aim is not just to murder the target, but to express mental needs. This is similar to animal conditioning where an animal smells blood and is unable to control itself.

{The elements of the crime} are prominent: for the rape and murder of girls under 13 there are only 2 cases out of 20. Both of the criminals were earth signs. Crimes in which young girls are raped are not uncommon, but the strange thing is that they were murdered. In general, there is no need for this because: 1. the silence of the victim: China is different from the West. The generations in which the two cases took place were still very conservative. Girls had only a vague idea about sex, and Chinese people are more prone to pressure and strict family control. Usually when girls are harmed they do not dare to say anything about it. Even if they were to tell their parents, their parents would not dare to report it to the police, worrying that news of their children's loss of chastity would spread and that their child would be derided as they grew up, feel hurt, and be unable to marry when they reached adulthood. 2 The reason for murder: The main reason for murder after rape is because of female resistance angering the criminal but little girls do not have the ability to resist. 3. Criminal behavior: In the two cases, after the criminals killed the victims, neither attempted to destroy the DNA. From animals (snakes), we can see instances of rape and murder. As a kind of animal, for humans to rape and kill their victims is a phenomenon of human nature. The motive is not necessarily to destroy evidence of the crime and avoid legal punishment.

Why is the rate of earth signs raping and killing girls higher than for other zodiac signs?Solving earth signs’{Criminal motive}: to satisfy bloodlust (bloodthirsty) and controlled desires. Techniques for committing the crime: if there is excessive crime, it will be understood. Earth signs are believers in natural selection. Internally, they are crueler than the other zodiac signs.

Aquarius

Their {criminal properties} are that they tend toward wealth, power, and sex, and less toward struggle and emotional elements than other zodiac signs. If you wanted to easily obtain wealth, then you would choose a weak victim. It would not be smart to choose a policeman. Thus, Aquarius criminals do not target police (周克华 was a robber; his targets were wealthy people. He only killed police to eliminate obstacles.). If he uses a knife and gets into a conflict with someone weak, he cannot guarantee 100% chance of success, so his choice of {criminal instrument} tends to be high-tech. He uses guns and his criminal motive comes from realism.

Why does Aquarius' criminal motive tend to be realistic and not psychological?Because the wind sign's thought process is within the social world and a wind sign's talent is his ability to socialize, this is extended to the characteristics of his thought patterns: does not particularly like violence, enjoys socializing. The purpose of communication between people is material, and communication leads to less types of crimes triggered by emotions and violence.

Specific case analysis:

Although 邵宗其's wife was having an affair with two men and he committed the crime out of retribution, there were negotiations beforehand: He only committed the crime after his two months of making demands on the adulterer’s wife failed. 1. If his wife's infidelity was so serious to the point where it destroyed two families, then "exchanging the wifes" would not have resolved the conflict. If 邵宗其 were a Scorpio and the victim had volunteered to let him sleep with his wife for the rest of his life, he probably would have never agreed, believing that sexual relations are a kind of mutual relationship between people. 2. 邵宗其's crime was vindictive to the point of destroying two families but he did not hurt his wife because he saw his wife's infidelity as a kind of "interaction" and thus his ability to forgive infidelity was a bit greater than that of other zodiac signs. If 邵宗其 were an earth sign, his wife would probably have been murdered long ago.

Scorpio

Generally, people commit crimes for material gain. Scorpios are different from earth signs and Aquariuses. The {properties of the crime} to a large extent, are beyond reality (wealth, power, sex). Why is this so? Because of the thought process of the water constellation—self awareness and strongly seeking to escape from reality in his thought processes. Therefore, the {criminal motive} has mental characteristics. He will be different than a normal person in both selecting his {choice of victim} and {instrument of crime}. For example:

黄勇: his {choice of victims} were 17 teenage boys. His {instrument of crime} was even more unthinkable: an "intelligent wood horse." Its technological sophistication was apparent. It was similar to the film Saw (the movie was adapted from his crime). His criminal motive was exactly the same as in the movie. He described himself as pursuing mental freedom and, after his mind was free, he chose to turn himself in. All of his behavior was bizarre.

石健廷: A pedicab driver, before murdering these students, would often take them to school to get to their classes free of charge. He did not have a criminal record or history of mental illness. He did not help the children in order to cover anything up (people from the village said that they thought he was a nice guy). He had obvious mental characteristics that are difficult to understand. After he committed the crime he chose to commit suicide. Of 20 cases, only two Scorpios voluntarily ended the crime.

白宝山: Although there are thieves and burglars, most of their crimes are directed at the strong. The motive for their crime is mental retribution. Normal people will not offend them. Therefore, their victims of choice are usually: officers, policemen, prisoners, and their accomplices. Their vengeance does not come from material desires. Rather, it is a mental trait—self-respect, mental expression, or prejudice. As described previously, the characteristics of water signs are: poor social skills and belligerence.

Scorpio's technical traits: Water signs like to pursue knowledge. That is why 黄勇's criminal instruments all had this characteristic. The means by which 白宝山 assaulted the police was characterized by high IQ.

Note: 董文语 is a rapist and murder purely motivated by reality. However, he is not a true Scorpio.

Fire signs

Fire signs are a bit like water signs. They tend to be mental and their criminal factors will manifest as all kinds of different characteristics without a clear trend. However, their {criminal motive} is to inflict pain on the victim and everyone. This is not physical pain (opposite of earth signs). Their mentality is very egocentric; this is how they are different from all the other signs. The reason why they have this characteristic is because the personality of fire signs has an immature side. Therefore, criminals will show egocentrism. The pursuit of happiness is the source of fire signs' distinctive thought patterns. Therefore, if they can inflict psychological pain on their victims, it satisfies their criminal desires.

Specific cases:

陶汝坤: People do not live to suffer. If the victims are suffering horribly to the point where it is worse than dying, then this is the motive of陶汝坤. After his girlfriend tried to break up with him, he poured sulfuric acid on her face and body, causing her body to be disfigured with burns. The criminal wanted to hear the victim's anguished screams and, at the same time, to inflict eternal suffering on the victim, a disfigurement that would make others loathe her.

靳如超: He also exhibited egocentric characteristics. When his lover tried to break up with him, he murdered her. Because everyone disliked him, he burnt down their building, killing 108 people. The motive for his crime had the same characteristics. His aim was not just to kill the victim; he wanted to inflict mental suffering on those people other than the victims.

Opposite characteristics of criminals:

{motive for the crime}

1.Fire signs and Scorpio tend to be more spirit; Aquarius and earth signs tend to be more realistic.

2.The prominent criminal motive for earth signs is satisfying their bloodlust (bloodthirsty). Scorpio's motive is to satisfy his mental desires.

3.The motive of fire signs is to make the victim suffer mentally. The motive of earth signs is to make the victim suffer physically.

{Criminal instruments}

1.Earth signs tend to prefer simple tools. Of all the zodiac signs, Scorpios are most notable for using high-tech instruments.

{Choice of victim}

1.A prominent feature of earth signs is their selection of girls less than 13 years old. A prominent feature of Scorpios is their selection of teenage boys. Opposite zodiac signs have opposite thought processes and will choose victims of the opposite gender.

2.The targets of earth signs and Scorpio will appear strong (like policemen and officers). The targets of Aquariuses and fire signs are always civilians.

3.Fire signs and earth signs will potentially choose loved ones. Aquarius and Scorpio will not choose loved ones. Scorpio can best be seen in Bai Baoshan. He knew that his lover would call the police and he would be captured. Not only did he not kill her, but gave her 100,000 to return to her home town. Ultimately, he was arrested because his lover called the police. The Aquarius Zhou Kehua similarly had a good relationship with his girlfriend. I have already described the Aquarius Shao Zongqi above.

Deviant zodiac signs

For deviant zodiac signs, the criminal characteristics will deviate and be different from overall trends (In the figure above, this is represented by the black dotted line with square dots). Deviated zodiac signs have birthdays that fall four days before or after a particular sign; this will cause deviations in personality, developing in the direction of the neighboring zodiac sign. Furthermore, there will be some anomalies. Especially when they are feeling emotional, they will not seem like their own zodiac sign. I have divided this phenomenon into five points in order to more precisely analyze people's personalities.

Virgo

田明建 is close to Libra. 杨佳 is close to Leo. Their criminal characteristics are changed:

Special victims: military and police. Of 11 earth signs, in only 2 cases were the targets only officers, and policemen. Virgo is different from Capricorn and Taurus. 1. The two of them are both Virgos. 2. Their zodiac signs have both deviated. 3. Neither had a criminal record. 4. 80% of criminal motives for earth signs are plunder and 20% are retribution. For the two of them their {criminal motives} were opposite and 4 of the characteristics were different from those of other earth signs. What are the chances for this kind of coincidence? There are no coincidences in the world. If coincidences occur, they do so for a reason or on some basis.

This kind of crime in which the vindictive psychology is strong is called a hydraulic personality (shield). This interpretation corresponds to a predatory personality (spear). Typically, this kind of criminal does not have a criminal record. Their personalities are passive. Why is the hydraulic nature so strong in Virgos? (Among the data, there are only three Virgos). Another one, 丁金华 (whose birthday is not deviant) committed a crime out of retaliation. However, other characteristics follow earth sign trends.

Earth signs have a stable character and are patient. Therefore, when they face conflict, they will not show their feelings, but will only let it build up until it becomes a "ticking time-bomb." Although water signs are paranoid and belligerent, water signs become anxious easily, meaning that before conflicts build to a point beyond repair, they will release them. Fire signs are even less likely to let it build; they dislike holding onto emotions, and when they encounter conflict they immediately let it out. Wind signs enjoy 

socializing and have the lowest possibility of letting emotions build up. Therefore, the elements of their hydraulic personality are expressed (In the figure below, red is the heaviest).



Why is Virgo's level of vindictiveness higher than that of the other zodiac signs? Because Virgos as far as the "gender" characteristic are "female." Their distinct thought patterns are passive (as described above). This characteristic implies: 1. They are more patient than other earth signs. 2. Their "female" passive personality traits make others feel relaxed and vigilant, thinking that they are weak and overlooking them or even more strongly, suppressing them. In interactions, it is easy to apply pressure on them with incalculable consequences.

Scorpio

Scorpio criminals tend to be more spirit. Of the four criminals, only 董文语's {criminal motive} was different from other Scorpios because he is a deviant Scorpio. It was completely opposite, changing so that it was based on purely realistic factors. His serious crimes were all rapes and murders.

The feelings people get from criminals of different zodiac signs

(Figure below) those filled in with the same color indicates a negative feeling. Intuiting the results of a crime also involves determining the suspect's birthday, and his personality style.

Zodiac sign is only a small part of interactions. There are other even more important factors (Figure below). Because of space limitations, this article only describes the portion involving zodiac signs. I predict that when construction is complete, it will improve the rate of cracking cases by about ~7% and increase work productivity by more than 30%. Although this value is not high relative to the role of municipal monitoring systems, the costs of development are low and it can be based on cell phone applications with no operating costs.
